DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday\, 9 February 2021\, the 18th edition of Safer Internet Day will be celebrated with actions taking place right across the globe. With a theme once again of “Together for a better internet”\, the day calls upon all stakeholders to join together to make the internet a safer and better place for all\, and especially for children and young people. \n\nOver the years\, Safer Internet Day has become a landmark event in the online safety calendar. Starting as an initiative of the EU SafeBorders project in 2004 and taken up by the Insafe network as one of its earliest actions in 2005\, Safer Internet Day has grown beyond its traditional geographic zone and is now celebrated in approximately 170 countries worldwide. \nFrom cyberbullying to social networking to digital identity\, each year Safer Internet Day aims to raise awareness of emerging online issues and current concerns. \n\nRead on to find out more about practical ways in which you can get involved in the celebrations. DESCRIPTION:The EU project GAIA-X forms a distributed data infrastructure as the basis of secure data spaces for various application domains such as mobility\, industry 4.0 and healthcare. The IDS reference architecture model specifies software components for sharing and exchanging data while preserving data sovereignty – providing the key for a sustainable and innovative data economy in Europe. \nProfessor Boris Otto\, director at Fraunhofer ISST\, Lars Nagel\, CEO IDSA\, and Sebastian Steinbuss\, CTO IDSA\, will discuss how IDS and GAIA-X can complement and strengthen their efforts in a live session.
